About the Role
As an Intern- Business Analyst, you will support the analysis and documentation of business requirements with the guidance of more experienced team members. This entry-level role is designed for individuals at the beginning of their business analysis career, offering hands-on exposure to Agile delivery and collaboration with cross functional teams. You will contribute to process improvements, assist in requirement gathering, and gain practical experience across the project lifecycle, helping to ensure the delivery of valuable business outcomes.
Intern - Business Analyst Responsibilities
1. Business Requirement Support
- Assist in gathering, understanding, and documenting business requirements for low complexity initiatives.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions to observe and learn the requirement elicitation process.
- Maintain clear and structured documentation to support project activities.
2. Agile Delivery & Practices
- Learn and apply Agile principles and the Scrum framework under the mentorship of senior team members.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Support backlog grooming and story preparation tasks.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work alongside business and technical stakeholders to understand project objectives.
- Communicate requirements and findings clearly and concisely, with support where needed.
- Build foundational relationships and communication skills through active engagement in team activities.
4. Solution Support & Validation
- Assist in preparing user stories and defining basic acceptance criteria.
- Help test and validate solutions to ensure they meet business needs.
- Capture and track feedback during solution implementation and testing phases.
5. Process Improvement
- Contribute to simple process mapping activities with guidance.
- Identify minor pain points or inefficiencies in current processes and raise them for discussion. · Document current and future state workflows as directed.
6. Learning & BA Community
- Involvement Proactively seeking learning opportunities to grow business analysis and Agile knowledge.
- Engage in team knowledge sharing and peer learning sessions.
- Contribute to a supportive BA community by sharing learnings and asking questions.
7. Continuous Development
- Stay curious and committed to developing core BA competencies.
- Actively seek feedback from mentors and peers to support personal growth.
- Apply feedback to improve performance and expand responsibilities over time.
