Cambio Software is a software research and development center for Cambio Healthcare Systems AB, Sweden, currently with over 300 software engineering professionals in Sri Lanka designing and developing cutting edge Healthcare Solutions using state of the art of technologies to cater to our prestigious clientele.

Position

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Automation Engineer (Entry-Level / Fresh Graduate) to join our Customer Delivery Division. You will be part of a global team focused on automating and simplifying complex systems, improving operational efficiency, and delivering high-quality services to our customers. Role

As an Automation Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automation tools and scripts that support application configuration and environment setup. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and ensure smooth delivery of services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the team to define and design configuration automation solutions.
• Building and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues as they arise, ensuring stability and performance of automated systems.
• Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on automation goals and progress.
• Drive innovation by experimenting with AI tools, integrating them into products, and delivering impactful automation solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Exposure working with RESTful APIs.
• Basic understanding of relational databases, especially MSSQL.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
  
  

Understanding and exposure in the following areas would be an added advantage

• Exposure to automation tools or RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate).
• JS, EJB3, Spring, Hibernate.
• Exposure working on AI-related projects or integrating AI tools into automation workflows.
• Understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure automation.
• Participation in university projects or internships related to software automation.
