Shopbook is a Sri Lankan fintech company on a mission to help small businesses and shopkeepers get paid on time without chasing. We provide automated financial management solutions that simplify credit management, payment reminders, and cash flow tracking for small enterprises across Sri Lanka. Our platform serves thousands of businesses with features like trilingual SMS reminders, automated reporting, and seamless payment collection.

Requirements to apply:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 - 2 years of experience in UI/UX design for mobile and web platforms.
• Proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping.
• Strong understanding of visual design principles, including color theory, layout, and typography.
• Working knowledge of UX methodologies, including usability testing, user research, and design thinking.
• Ability to articulate design decisions clearly and explain the rationale behind them to cross functional teams.
• Portfolio demonstrating end to end design process from concept development to final implementation.

If you are selected for the vacancy your job responsibilities would include:

• Translate business goals, user needs, and research insights into intuitive and visually engaging interfaces for web and mobile platforms.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer care teams to align design decisions with overall objectives.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma to visualize and test concepts.
• Develop and maintain the Shopbook Design System to ensure design consistency and scalability.
• Work closely with developers to deliver pixel-perfect, high-quality design implementations.
• Design icons, illustrations, and micro-interactions that enhance usability and user delight.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback, data, and research findings.
• Stay current with UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies to continuously elevate product quality and innovation.
