Key Responsibilities
- Provide initial triage, logging, and resolution for Level 1 IT incidents and service requests received via the Service Desk
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of IT assets and configurations within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Follow defined processes for incident escalation, problem tracking, and service request fulfillment
- Communicate clearly and professionally with end-users regarding the status of their issues
- Assist senior engineers with monitoring the health and performance of cloud resources in the Microsoft Azure environment
- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as checking resource status, reviewing logs, and verifying automated backups
- Support access management tasks, including basic user account creation and modification in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
- Follow deployment and configuration checklists for basic cloud services (e.g., virtual machines, storage accounts)
- Troubleshoot common connectivity issues, including local area network (LAN), Wi-Fi, and VPN problems for end-users
- Assist in verifying network status and performance using basic diagnostic tools (e.g., ping, ipconfig, tracert)
- Participate in the inventory and management of network equipment and cabling
- Assist in creating and updating technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and procedural guides
- Contribute to efforts to identify and streamline recurring IT tasks
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Basic understanding of ITIL principles (Incident, Request, Asset Management)
- Familiarity with fundamental cloud concepts and Microsoft Azure services
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting common OS environments (Windows, macOS)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) or automation tools
