QA Engineer (On-Site – Ratnapura)
Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches, conducting thorough testing across multiple platforms, and working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Quality Assurance
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
Conduct automated testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks
Test web applications, mobile applications, and APIs across different browsers and devices
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems
Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements
Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
Provide clear and detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce issues
Communicate testing progress, results, and recommendations to project teams
Process Improvement
Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies
Research and recommend new testing tools and techniques
Maintain and update test documentation and test data
Mentor junior QA team members and share best practices
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
1+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
Experience with manual testing techniques and test case design
Proficiency with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Jest, etc.)
Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps)
Understanding of version control systems (Git)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration testing
Soft Skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong time management and organizational skills
Adaptability to changing requirements and priorities
