Our Engineering Internship has been crafted to simulate our Engineering Graduate Programme so that you can understand what a career in Engineering at LSEG would really be like.
To be eligible, you must be a 3rd year undergraduate due to complete your degree summer 2027 and studying a Computer Science, IT, or Engineering or similar.
During your time with us you will have the opportunity to explore potential career paths by working within our LSEG Markets Engineering as a DevOps Engineer.

We offer a wide range Dev Ops roles which will allow you to explore one of the following technologies:
- UNIX/Linux, SQL, and RDBMS
- Scripting knowledge Python, Bash or Perl
- Object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java)
- Help configure DevOps tools (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) for the team and monitor the DevOps infrastructure.
- Involve in scripting and automate mundane tasks.
- Plan and implement automated test suites.
- Evaluate various DevOps tools.
- Document internal processes.
These are real roles; as an intern, you play a part in the success of our organisation, just like you would do as a graduate.
What we are looking for:

- People who can collaborate with others, using their communication skills in the process.
- Some knowledge in UNIX/Linux, SQL, and RDBMS, an understanding with Oracle and AWS would be a plus.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash, Perl).
- Basic skills in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java).
- Understanding of CI/CD processes is a plus.
- Ideal candidates will have the rights to work in the Sri Lanka without restrictions for the duration of the internship programme
