Our Engineering Internship has been crafted to simulate our Engineering Graduate Programme so that you can understand what a career in Engineering at LSEG would really be like.
To be eligible, you must be a 3rd year bachelors/undergraduate due to complete your degree summer 2027 and studying an Engineering field or Finance, Economics with an inclination towards FinTech/Technology.
During your time with us you will have the opportunity to explore potential career paths by working within our LSEG Markets Engineering as a Business Analyst.
We have opportunities for students to join our Colombo – Malabe hub as a Business Analyst.
Main responsibilities during your 6-month internship
- Conduct requirement elicitation or Change Requests (CR) to ensure business needs are correctly captured.
- Analyze product/solution impact and build acceptance criteria for CRs; review test cases and verify coverage.
- Facilitate functional refinement with development team members.
- Maintain backlog visibility and ensure readiness of stories for the next two sprints.
- Adhere to documentation templates and maintain appropriate detail for epic/story level requirements.
- Maintain/evaluate traceability of requirements and link functional/non-functional requirements with test documents.
- Conduct ‘show and tell’ sessions (sprint reviews) on selected CRs.
These are real roles; as an intern, you play a part in the success of our organisation, just like you would do as a graduate.
