Responsibilities
- Ensure solutions delivered are in line with business and technical requirements.
- Create and maintain architectural artifacts, and establish architectural direction.
- Drive technical discussions with important technical representatives from the client side.
- Ensure compliance with established architecture, design patterns, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Stay informed about new trends and cutting-edge technology while keeping a strong understanding of widely-used, modern technologies.
- Engage with tech leads and delivery teams to ensure the architecture and design intent is correctly understood and interpreted by the teams.
- Effectively communicate both upward and downwards the benefits, risks and impact of changes and design decisions.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and externals to design solutions that meet business requirements.
Requirements
- 12- 15 years of overall experience in the software industry is required, with at least 2 years spent working as an architect.
- You possess a strong understanding and passion for architecture, as well as an interest in new trends and emerging technologies.
- Having experience in architecting Secure, Performant and Scalable solutions is what will set you apart from others for this role.
- A good working experience in highly transactional distributed systems that can scale on demand.
- A clear understanding of Cloud offerings (AWS preferred).
- A firm grasp of Microservices/Cloud Architecture patterns and significant experience in implementing them is required.
- Extensive experience with containerisation and deployment management.
- Experience using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.
- It would be beneficial to have experience with implementing enterprise-scale microservices using Java, .net, JS frameworks.
