Senior Web Developer | WORDPRESS
Lead Lanka International (Pvt) Ltd is the software development arm of the New Zealand- and Australia-based software company, Iclick Online Technology.
We are currently on the lookout for an experienced and result-driven Senior WordPress Developer to join our growing team. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development—everything from plugins to security updates.
You will also establish and guide website architecture, ensuring sites are attractive and user-friendly. Additionally, you will play a role in WordPress training, as well as troubleshooting and resolving website problems for clients and coworkers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement and manage websites using WordPress
- Collaborate with members of a creative team
- Manage front-end and back-end website development
- Create WordPress plugins and themes
- Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferable code
- Troubleshoot and resolve website problems for clients and co-workers
- Stay abreast of new developments in software, trends, and practices
- Research, design, and implement technical specifications for projects based on user requirements.
- Help formulate an effective and responsive design, and turn it into a functioning website.
- Meet with clients to discuss website design and function.
- Design and build the website front-end using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Create the website architecture, including database and server integration.
- Design and manage the website back-end, including troubleshooting content issues and conducting performance tests.
- Generate WordPress themes and plugins, including custom theme and plugin development.
- Customise Elementor, Gutenberg, and ACF to meet client needs.
- Conduct WordPress training with clients.
- Monitor the performance of live websites and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Implement website security measures, including:
Regularly updating WordPress core, themes, and plugins
Implementing strong user authentication and access controls
Conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Configuring firewalls and intrusion detection systems
Monitoring and responding to security incidents
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field.
· Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
· Strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems.
· Knowledge of front-end technologies, including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
· Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
· Proficiency in Bootstrap 5 for responsive design.
· Experience with custom theme and plugin development for WordPress.
· Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
· Experience in handling a team of developers and leading WordPress development projects.
