We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in API, functional, regression, and UI testing to ensure the quality and performance of our Portal and FMS systems. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of professional QA experience, excellent technical expertise in API and database testing, and the ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
Key responsibilities
• Perform functional, sanity, smoke, integration, and regression testing for API endpoints during sprints and release cycles.
• Ensure thorough test coverage across Portal API services.
• Design and execute detailed test cases based on business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Verify API responses, troubleshoot bad responses using ArgoCD and Elastic Kibana, and validate service integrations.
• Conduct FMS UI testing and validate data after executing relevant API endpoints in AssetDB.
• Perform database testing using SQL scripts and set up databases for environments and services.
• Track, log, and manage defects in JIRA and participate in Agile ceremonies (stand ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
• Validate reports and dashboards for accuracy.
• Provide support to GC Management in coordinating with the team as required.
Core Competencies Required
• Must have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in QA testing, including API, functional, regression, and UI testing.
• Proficiency in API testing using tools such as Swagger and Postman.
• Strong experience in log testing using ArgoCD and Elastic.
• Solid background in database testing and the ability to write and execute SQL scripts.
• Hands-on experience with functional, smoke, sanity, and regression test planning and execution.
• Proficient in defect tracking and management using JIRA.
• Good understanding of the Agile/Scrum methodology and participation in Agile ceremonies.
• Ability to validate reports and dashboards for accuracy and completeness.
• Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, TestRail, or Zephyr is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Working hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
