About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on security practices to join our team. In this role, 80% of your responsibilities will revolve around designing, implementing, and maintaining secure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, while the remaining 20% will involve contributing to development and automation tasks. You will be the key driver in ensuring our systems are secure, compliant, and resilient against modern threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Security (80%)
- Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance risks.
- Perform regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing support.
- Implement best practices for IAM (Identity and Access Management), encryption, secrets management, and network security.
- Automate security checks, threat detection, and compliance reporting.
- Collaborate with Security and Development teams to enforce DevSecOps principles.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
Development & Automation (20%)
- Build automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure and application deployment.
- Support software engineering teams by integrating secure coding practices.
- Contribute to developing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Write clean, maintainable code for infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform/Ansible.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with strong security expertise.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Solid understanding of security frameworks, best practices, and compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Splunk).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with penetration testing or ethical hacking.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or AWS/Azure Security Specialist.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and secure API development.
