Senior Data Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems from a recognized University
• Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science OR an equivalent Professional Qualification would be an added advantage
• Minimum of 03 years Industry experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer or Business Intelligence Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to all types of MIS report requirements in a timely manner prioritizing CBSL and other regulatory requirements
• Present information using data visualization techniques / tools to various stakeholders
• Propose solutions and strategies to provide insights for cost effective solutions / income generating solutions for the bank
• Work closely with BI Architects, ETL Engineers, Subject Matter Experts and follow the change / modification requests to enhance ETL jobs / scripts
• Continuous monitoring of existing controls, procedures of the bank, update and maintain all the documents required while fulfilling the ISO and information security requirement of the Bank
• Carry out Data Extraction and loading process (ETL Process) on Weekends/ holidays

Other Competencies Required

• Sound Knowledge in Data Warehousing & BI Analytics, writing complex SQL / PLSQL queries in Oracle / DB2/SQL SERVER / MySQL
• Ability to use business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau)
• Thorough knowledge in Finacle / PRIME systems will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to complete multiple and parallel tasks within a given time frame and deliver work under pressure
• Ability to work extended hours / roaster basis depending on business requirements
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
