Job Summary:

Our client, a US-based airline company, is seeking Mobile QA Engineers to join their engineering team on a 6-month onsite contract basis. The ideal candidates will have strong hands-on experience in mobile application testing along with API and microservices validation, combining both manual and automated testing skills. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact, globally used airline applications, ensuring the quality of middleware and front-end mobile systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated unit and functional tests for mobile apps, APIs, and microservices, aiming for 80%+ code coverage.
• Perform functional, regression, and UI testing on native iOS and Android applications.
• Execute API testing to ensure middleware endpoints perform as expected.
• Conduct load and stress testing to assess system performance under peak usage.
• Perform manual and integration testing for mobile apps and related backend services.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure test-driven development (TDD) practices are applied.
• Generate clear bug reports and assist developers in resolving issues promptly.
• Participate in sprint reviews, QA planning discussions, and Agile ceremonies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years focused on mobile application testing (iOS and/or Android).
• Proficiency in using mobile testing tools such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or similar.
• Strong experience in API testing with tools like Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Knowledge of mobile app release processes (TestFlight, Google Play Console).
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and backend integrations.
• Experience integrating QA processes into CI/CD pipelines.

Technical & Professional Competencies:

• Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or other issue/test management tools.
• Ability to write structured test cases and maintain QA documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
