We are looking for a passionate and creative Shopify Developer Intern who also has a strong eye for design. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in Shopify development and graphic design. You’ll work on building and optimizing eCommerce stores while also contributing to visuals, banners, and creatives using tools like Canva, Photoshop (PS), and Illustrator (AI).
- Assist in designing, customizing, and developing Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Create engaging banners, product images, and marketing creatives using Canva, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Collaborate with the design and development team to ensure seamless UI/UX across devices
- Help integrate third-party Shopify apps and tools
- Optimize store speed, layout, and overall performance
- Ensure all graphics and themes are mobile-optimized and visually appealing
- Stay up to date with eCommerce trends, Shopify updates, and visual design standards
- Basic understanding of Shopify platform and Liquid templating language
- Strong skills in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Basic understanding of responsive and mobile-first design
- Creativity and attention to detail in both design and development
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly
- Experience working with Shopify themes and page builders (e.g., PageFly, GemPages)
- Understanding of SEO and CRO principles
- Experience with design tools like Figma or XD
- Familiarity with basic version control (e.g., Git)
- Real-world experience in both development and design for eCommerce
- Portfolio-worthy Shopify projects and creatives
- Exposure to branding, product page optimization, and UI/UX best practices
