Position Overview
We are seeking Remote PHP Intern Developers (paid) with a solid understanding of pure PHP and the Laravel framework. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-learner, capable of handling end-to-end project tasks, including UI development, backend logic, and system management. Prior professional experience is not required—strong self-study project work is equally valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using pure PHP and Laravel (other frameworks are a plus).
- Implement projects following the MVC pattern.
- Work with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS to create responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Collaborate on both frontend and backend tasks to deliver complete project solutions.
- Understand and handle basic IT system-related tasks to support overall development processes.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of pure PHP (essential).
- Good understanding of the Laravel framework (essential).
- Familiarity with MVC architecture and its implementation.
- Skills in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and related frontend technologies.
- Ability to develop advanced applications in both pure PHP and Laravel.
- General knowledge of IT systems and how they integrate with applications.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently.
- No prior work experience required—self-study projects and portfolio are valued.
- Good communication skills (Sinhala & English, Italian is a plus).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of other PHP frameworks (CodeIgniter, Symfony, etc.).
- Familiarity with database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Understanding of APIs and third-party integrations.
