Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand user needs, pain points, and expectations. Translate requirements into clear and actionable specifications for development teams.
  • Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Propose and implement process changes, automation, or software enhancements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, such as user feedback, usage metrics, and market research. Identify trends, patterns, and insights to drive decision-making, inform product roadmaps, and enhance the user experience.
  • Product Development Support: Work closely with product managers and development teams to define product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of software solutions. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during UAT.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. Conduct market research to identify opportunities, user preferences, and emerging technologies. Provide insights and recommendations to support product strategy and positioning.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and QA teams. Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation. Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software company or relevant industry.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum.
  • Proficiency in requirements elicitation and documentation techniques (e.g., user stories, use cases, wireframes).
  • Experience with software testing, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaborate in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.
