We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented technical Software Quality Assurance Intern to join our engineering team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world software development projects, working closely with experienced developers and quality engineers in a collaborative and agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirement-gathering and brainstorming sessions to understand project goals and user needs
- Design comprehensive test scenarios to ensure full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements
- Create, execute, and maintain test cases using project and test management tools
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools
- Conduct various types of testing, including but not limited to:
- Functional Testing: Smoke, Integration, System, Acceptance, Re-testing, Regression
- Non-Functional Testing: Performance, Compatibility, Security
- Identify, document, and track software bugs, ensuring alignment with defined requirements and specifications
- Collaborate with developers and other QA engineers to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Assist with end-to-end testing from development through production deployment
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good documentation and presentation abilities
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia)
- Exposure to or interest in test automation frameworks and tools
- Foundational knowledge of tools or frameworks such as TestNG, BDD, or Cucumber is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred) is an advantage
