We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to manage, monitor, and enhance our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in systems administration, troubleshooting, and network management, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain core IT infrastructure applications, services, and systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Proactively monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, utilizing monitoring tools to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
- Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend innovative technologies and solutions to enhance system efficiency, scalability, and security, driving continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure.
- Administer, configure, and optimize network infrastructure components, including enterprise switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi networks, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity.
- Oversee and execute the full lifecycle management of applications, including planning, scheduling, and performing upgrades, patching, and applying security fixes to maintain system integrity and compliance.
- Provide advanced technical support and expert-level troubleshooting for complex hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation for system configurations and operational procedures.
- Manage and administer Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems, various database platforms, and AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS) environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 02– 5 years of hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proven expertise in administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrated experience with system monitoring tools and capacity planning.
- Solid understanding of IT security best practices, backup solutions, and disaster recovery methodologies.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience managing network devices (switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points).
- Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
- Experience with database administration (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS ECS.
- Strong experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Preferred Skills
- Relevant industry certifications (Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, CCNA).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) beyond AWS ECS.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001).
