Random Software is a software product development company with offices in the UK and Sri Lanka that caters to the automotive aftermarket, mainly focusing on enterprise web and mobile software development using cutting edge technologies. Our platforms are built on cloud-native architectures using Azure, AWS, and GCP. We’re looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer who is passionate about automation, cloud infrastructure, and delivering software efficiently and securely. Please note that this vacancy is open to Sri Lankan residents only.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and AWS CodePipeline for enterprise-grade applications.
  • Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
  • Deploy and monitor cloud-based environments on Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Implement best practices for cloud security, identity management, and access controls.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, cost, and reliability across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) through secure DevOps practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline, deployment, and environment issues across cloud providers.
  • Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and configuration management records.


Qualifications and Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
  • Experience working with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms – strong in Azure and AWS; familiarity with GCP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, secrets management (e.g., Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and vulnerability scanning.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
  • Understanding of network and application-level security and compliance standards.
