Role Description
This is a full-time Intern UI/UX Designer role located in Colombo but with flexibility for some remote work. As an intern UI/UX Designer at TECXA, you will be responsible for developing user interface designs, creating wire-frames, and prototyping for mobile and web applications. You will be responsible for assessing user requirements and developing creative, effective visual designs that meet user needs and enhance user experience. You will be working collaboratively with the development team, product management team, and project managers to develop high-quality software products..
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field
- Experience in designing interfaces for mobile and web applications
- Critical thinking, analytic ability, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and InVision
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to understand and communicate with software engineers and QA teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate design concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
• Collaborating with the product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
• Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Conceptualizing original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
• Creating wire-frames, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
Skills and Qualifications
• Proven UI/UX experience and a strong portfolio.
• Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
• Proficiency in visual design and wireframing tools including Adobe XD, Figma.
• Strong knowledge in responsive design.
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
• Experience working in an Agile development process
