Position - Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
The Job
· Responsible for defining the overall test strategy and planning for a project.
· Required to execute tests, both manual and automated, and analyze the results to identify defects, verify fixes, and ensure that the software meets quality standards.
· Need to Provide clear and concise information about the testing efforts and help stakeholders make informed decisions regarding the software's release readiness.
· Required to Manage defects by tracking, prioritizing, and document software defects using issue tracking systems.
· Responsible for writing and maintaining automated test scripts using suitable programming languages and automation tools.
· Should focus on performance testing to evaluate how the system performs under expected and peak load conditions.
· Responsible for collaborating with operations and development teams to investigate and address performance-related incidents.
· Ensure that the testing process seamlessly integrates with the overall software delivery process.
· Accountable for identifying areas for process enhancement, implement best practices, and adopt new tools and technologies to streamline testing activities, improve efficiency, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior QA team members.
· Need to Guide and support team members, share their expertise, provide training, and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the QA team.
· Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and testing techniques to ensure that the QA team is equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
· Recommend and implement appropriate tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of automation testing processes.
The Person
· Should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
· Should possess previous experience in using industry-standard automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, JUnit and Cucumber.
· Should possess previous experience in using industry-standard performance testing tools and frameworks, such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Apache Bench, or BlazeMeter.
· Should be familiar with tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI/CD to automate test execution, generate reports, and trigger tests on code changes, and be familiar with test management and defect tracking tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
· Should have problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
· Minimum 2 years of work experience in similar role
