Position: Senior Web Developer (WordPress)

Location: Jaffna, Sri Lanka

Experience/Term/Length: 5 years minimum

Working closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure proper implementation of Consumer-facing web applications. Helping create a superior digital experience through constant product evolution, iterations, and improvements to have good usability and a user-friendly presence.

Desirable Skills:

• BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
• Should have hands-on experience in WordPress, WooCommerce & HOOKS concepts
• Should be well versed with PHP, HTML, MYSQL, JavaScript (LAMP Stack)
• Experience in developing, and managing E-Commerce websites with themes & plugins
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
• Good to have work experience in GIT, Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, and WebGL
• Strong communication skills, data-driven thinking, up-to-date best practices

Responsibilities:

• Builds, designs, and maintains all websites and software applications.
• Designs develop and edits website content.
• Understands UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards.
• Executes assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
• Write code that ensures industry standards and is compatible with all devices.
• Maintaining a professional web development understanding by tracking trends and participating in study groups.
• Test software applications and debugging to ensure that they meet business requirements.
• Troubleshoot existing applications/software and resolve any problems.
• Establish and implement coding standards, processes, and strategies for the technical team.
• Update and maintain all dev, staging, and production environments with updated technologies and ensure uptime, maintenance, and installation.
