Position - Quality Assurance Engineer

Our clientele also includes hotels, restaurants, accounting firms, manufacturing, and service product companies. We offer a modular cloud-based solution, which allows our customers to use our complete solution or individual modules. We pride ourselves in developing our own systems, providing our customers with support, and consultant services, and outsourcing payroll.

The Role

• Hired for the Colombo Office based in Sri Lanka.
• The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team player.
• A keen eye for detail and analysis.
• At least 2+ years (s) experience in Software Engineering/QA engineering.

Responsibilities

• Contributes while test plans are developed as per the work assigned.
• Coordinate with the team (for discussions) and interact with the client (for updates).
• Create (and review) the Test Cases from the Functional Specifications or Software Requirement Specification document.
• Test the Functionality as per the Test plan and respective Test Cases.
• Measure the effectiveness of testing and design, whilst having to report any issues that you may come across.
• Actively work with the onshore development team, review user stories propose
• designs with testability in mind, and drive testability improvements in every solution.
• Always keep in mind the users’ needs and wants, when developing solutions.
• Bring innovation and industry trends in the Software testing space to your work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field).
• You have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle.
• Proven Testing experience within a structured testing environment
• Ability to think creatively, and generate and prioritize test cases.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of complex systems.
• Good command of English both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of API testing, automated UI testing, Selenium, & and SQL.
• A thorough familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum.

Nice to have:

• Experience with DevOps tasks, Playwright, or any test automation tool knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of C# or JavaScript or any programming skills.
