We are seeking highly skilled individuals with a customer-centric mindset and expertise in Azure Cloud Technology to join our dynamic team in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
As a CloudOps Engineer, your primary objective will be to ensure seamless operations of our customers' cloud-based applications and Novacura Flow. You'll be responsible for new installations, upgrades, and proactive monitoring, leveraging the latest methods and technologies. You will collaborate closely with the Product Support team, Solution Operations, and the Services Organization.
As a CloudOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Automation and Scripting:
Develop and retain automation scripts and templates using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, and other applicable tools. Drive the automation of routine tasks and processes to significantly enhance operational efficiency. Forge collaborative partnerships with DevOps teams to seamlessly integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, propelling the acceleration of software delivery and deployment.
Azure Infrastructure Oversight:
Effectively oversee and enhance Azure-based infrastructure, encompassing virtual machines, networking, and storage. Undertake the deployment, configuration, and continuous monitoring of Azure resources to guarantee optimal availability and performance. Implement security best practices for Azure resources.
Monitoring and Performance Tuning:
Implement monitoring solutions for Azure resources to proactively identify and resolve issues. Conduct performance tuning and optimization to enhance system reliability and responsiveness.
Recovery Planning and Data Backup:
Designing and implementing disaster recovery plans and backup strategies for Azure resources. Conducting disaster recovery tests regularly to ensure data availability and integrity.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Establish and upkeep comprehensive documentation covering configurations, procedures, and best practices. Foster knowledge dissemination and offer training to team members in Azure and automation methodologies.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a talented individual with exceptional problem-solving capabilities, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills. As a customer-centric individual, you have the ability to work autonomously and effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously. If you’re the person we are looking for, you also possess:
- Extensive and demonstrable experience as a Cloud Operations Engineer, with a strong specialization in Microsoft Azure.
- Sound proficiency in Azure services and solutions.
- Mastery in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, ARM templates, and Ansible.
- Previous experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.
- Proficiency in implementing best practices for security, compliance, and governance in Azure.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-400) are a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in IFS eco system will be an added advantage.
- Working under minimum supervision is valued
