We are looking for a dynamic individual to join one of our clients as Microbiology Executive

Designation: Microbiology Executive

Location - Horana

Key Responsibilities

• Performing microbiological tests and interpreting the results based upon the Standard Operating Procedures.

• Prepare and reconciliation of microbial culture media as per standard operating procedure.

• Environmental and facility sample collection. Handling of all microbial cultures (Eg. Master stock culture).

• Performing routine temperature monitoring and cleaning of BOD incubators. cold chambers, and deep freezers.

• Perform equipment calibrations and assist with microbial investigations.

• Prepare trend analysis and reports.

• Write/review/revise SOPs related to Microbiology testing inchiding equipment use, maintenance and calibration, data reporting and trending.

• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs and Good Documentation Practices.

• Identify and implement process improvements as an effort to strengthen the quality system

• Trained and qualified on the following areas: environmental monitoring, sterility. bioburden/water testing. BET, and specials projects (disinfectant efficacy. container closure studies. Hold time studies. Aseptic process simulation, other validation activities, etc.

• Maintain all necessary documentation regarding the activities listed above

• Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by manager

Key Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or similar discipline with 1- 2 years relevant experience in a cGMP-regulated facility or relevant regulated facility

• Ability to perform detailed tasks and document activities accurately.

• Able to work in an aseptic-controlled environment, including wearing PPE, aseptic gowning qualification, and subsequent gowning re-qualifications.

• Ability to work and communicate with others in a professional and effective manner, within a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to read, comprehend, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Intermediate user knowledge and understanding of Windows-based computer systems such as Microsoft Office, with an ability to learn other computer-based systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, split shifts and during weekends and holidays

Salary Scale: 50,000.00 LKR to 65,000.00 LKR
