AI Intern (Paid Internship – One Year)
Location: Sri Lanka (Remote)
Shift Timing
- Weekday Shift: 12.00 PM – 8.00 PM (Sri Lankan Time)
- Weekend Shift: 09.30 PM – 05.30 AM (Sri Lankan Time)
Please note that this role requires weekend work as part of the operational schedule. Team members will receive two weekdays off in lieu of weekend coverage.
About the Role
Vectorium Labs Pvt Ltd is looking for a curious, driven, and passionate AI Intern to join our growing team and work on real-world machine learning and AI applications.
This internship offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers and researchers to design, build, train, and deploy production-ready AI systems across web and mobile platforms.
This role is ideal for 3rd or 4th year undergraduate students who are eager to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on implementation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Key Responsibilities
AI Application Development
- Develop AI-powered web or mobile applications integrated with machine learning models
- Deploy real-time ML models into user-facing products
- Build pipelines for prompt engineering and AI-driven data processing
- Assist in training, testing, and optimizing machine learning models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on AI-related projects and research initiatives
Requirements
Education
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in:
- Computer Science
- Applied Mathematics
- Electrical Engineering
- Statistics
- Or a related technical field
Technical Skills
Programming
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch
- Solid understanding of:
- Data structures
- Algorithms
- Object-oriented programming
Machine Learning & Deep Learning
- Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning
- Experience with deep learning architectures such as:
- Transformers
- YOLO
- GANs
- LSTMs
- Familiarity with time-series modeling and real-world ML challenges
AI Applications
- Experience building or deploying AI-powered web or mobile applications
- Exposure to fine-tuning and deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) is an added advantage
Mathematics & Optimization
- Strong foundation in probability, statistics, and optimization techniques
