JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in building Generative AI applications and prototypes under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support development of Agentic AI systems, including AI agents that can plan, reason, and interact with tools or APIs.
• Work with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar tools to implement AI workflows.
• Assist in implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using embeddings and vector databases.
• Contribute to backend services using Python or TypeScript, including API development and AI service integrations.
• Participate in building microservices and REST APIs for AI-powered applications.
• Assist with frontend development using React, building simple interfaces for AI tools and dashboards.
• Work with vector databases and embeddings to support semantic search and AI-driven features.
• Help integrate AI services with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Participate in testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews.
• Stay updated on modern AI development practices including agent frameworks, LLM tooling, and AI system design.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

Essential

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Fair programming experience in Python or TypeScript.
• Understanding of software development fundamentals and REST API concepts.
• Good understanding of machine learning, LLMs, or Generative AI concepts.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn emerging AI technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Desirable

• Exposure to Agentic AI frameworks or AI agents (LangChain/LangGraph Agents, AutoGen, CrewAI, etc.).
• Exposure to AI Agent evaluations and testing.
• Basic experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar Gen AI frameworks.
• Familiarity with vector databases (Chroma , Pinecone, FAISS, AWS OpenSearch, etc.).
• Experience with React-based frontend development.
• Fair experience in Node.js / TypeScript backend development.
• Exposure to FastAPI, Express, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with Docker or containerization.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
