About the Role
The organization is looking for a Junior Full-Stack Website Developer to join their growing digital and brand team in Colombo. You'll be supporting a UAE-headquartered business and its regional operations. You will work across both front-end and back-end development, maintaining and evolving high-traffic websites that power the brand’s marketing and commercial growth. You will collaborate closely with marketing, content, and leadership teams to turn ideas into fast, secure, and scalable digital experiences.
Work Conditions:
- Work Mode: Onsite
- Location: Colombo Office.
- Hours: Standard hours (flexible between 7:30 am and 19:00 pm).
Responsibilities
- Development & Maintenance: Build, maintain, and enhance full-stack websites and landing pages specifically for project launches and sales.
- Front-End Excellence: Develop and refine user interfaces using clean, responsive HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Back-End & CMS: Work on back-end logic, integrations, and CMS architecture (specifically managing platform updates and stability).
- Optimization: Continually optimize websites for speed, SEO, accessibility, and conversion rates.
- Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and deployment issues.
- Integrations: Support digital marketing efforts through the integration of analytics, tracking tools, forms, and third-party APIs.
- Security & Scalability: Ensure all digital platforms remain secure, scalable, and production-ready at all times.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on full-stack web development experience.
- Technical Breadth: Confident with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and back-end fundamentals.
- CMS Knowledge: Comfortable working with CMS platforms; experience with Concrete CMS is a strong advantage (WordPress or similar is acceptable).
- Architecture: Understands the connection between databases, servers, and front-end layers.
- Mindset: Performance-focused with a high attention to detail, load times, and clean code structure.
- Soft Skills: A proactive problem solver who is level-headed under pressure and reliable when meeting tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- A Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Strong knowledge of responsive web design and version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical teams, including designers and marketers.
