Ceybertech (Journey Australia) is seeking a technically strong and growth-focused Senior Data & Integration Analyst to join our expanding IT team. This senior position plays a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimising our data management and systems integration ecosystem, ensuring reliable, scalable, and efficient data operations across the organisation.
You will take a hands-on and leadership-oriented role, writing efficient SQL queries, maintaining critical database objects, managing system integrations through APIs and webhooks, and supporting Azure Data Warehouse pipelines. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of experience who can bring immediate technical value while continuing to broaden their skills across our evolving tech stack.

Key Responsibilities
Data and SQL Development
- Write and optimise T-SQL queries for data extracts and reporting.
- Create, update, and maintain SQL Server database objects, including stored procedures, views, and functions.
- Collaborate with the BI & Solutions Manager to support Power BI reporting by ensuring accurate and timely data availability.
Systems Integration & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain business system integrations using APIs and webhooks.
- Support and enhance existing integrations, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures efficiently.
Azure Data & Cloud
- Monitor and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines feeding our Azure Data Warehouse.
- Assist with diagnosing data flow and transformation issues.
- Contribute to the improvement and scalability of cloud-based data infrastructure.
Project & Support Collaboration
- Work closely with IT and business teams across HR, Operations, Enrolments, Finance, and other departments.
- Translate business needs into structured, scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, contributing to technical design, development, and testing.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a SQL, data engineering, or systems integration role.
- Strong T-SQL development skills with SQL Server.
- Practical experience with APIs, JSON, and webhooks.
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory and data pipeline concepts.
- Knowledge of data flow design, best practices, and version control.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for business teams.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to take ownership of tasks.
- Enthusiasm for working in a startup-style environment with fast growth and evolving technologies.
Good to Have
- Experience with Power BI.
- Understanding of data warehouse architecture and ETL concepts.
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, or a programming language such as PHP or C#.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and workflows.
