Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Developer (Android), located in Colombo but with flexibility for some remote work. The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing and developing complex mobile applications from start to finish, driving innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobility solutions that align with business goals and meet user expectations. The Senior Developer will also be expected to mentor and guide Junior Developers, and to stay up-to-date with emerging trends in mobile technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mobile application development for Android
- Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android platforms.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile app development.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Kotlin
- Strong understanding of Jetpack Compose for UI development
- Experience with Android Jetpack libraries (ViewModel, DataStore, etc.)
- Familiarity with Android Architecture Components (MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture)
- Hilt / Dagger for dependency injection
- Jetpack Navigation Component, Voyager, etc.. for handling app navigation
- Custom animations and transitions in Compose
- REST API calls (Retrofit)/Websockets
- Async programming with Coroutines & Flows and Scopes
- Unit Testing/ Compose UI Testing, Turbine
- Automation with Gradle/Fastlane
