We are seeking a skilled WordPress and JavaScript UI Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, user-centric websites and web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with WordPress (themes, plugins, and architecture), deep knowledge of JavaScript, and a strong eye for UI/UX design. You will work collaboratively with designers, developers, and stakeholders to build responsive, intuitive, and accessible digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain responsive WordPress websites and web applications.
Build custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
Design and implement responsive UX/UI layouts using WordPress, JavaScript, and CSS.
Translate wireframes, mockups, and design prototypes into functional web pages and components.
Develop new user interfaces and UI components with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Collaborate with designers and developers to improve usability and consistency across digital products.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Integrate third-party APIs, tools, and plugins to enhance website features and functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues related to performance, functionality, and compatibility across browsers and devices.
Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and content teams to translate requirements and wireframes into working code.
Optimize websites for performance, accessibility, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
Maintain website security, conduct regular updates and backups, and implement malware protection strategies.
Stay up to date on industry trends and new technologies relevant to WordPress and front-end development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
4 Years experience as a WordPress Developer and front-end/UI Developer.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 – 3 + years experience
Solid working knowledge of PHP (2 + years experience) and basic MySQL for WordPress development.
Experience with responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind) and CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS/SCSS).
Experience building and customizing WordPress (2 + years experience) themes and plugins.
Deep understanding of responsive and mobile-friendly web design principles.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating external data sources.
Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility.
Good understanding of website architecture, SEO, and performance optimization.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience troubleshooting cross-browser compatibility issues.
Desirable (Nice to Have)
Experience with UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma).
Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js, jQuery).
Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG).
Experience with website migrations and deployment processes.
Familiarity with automated testing tools for front-end code.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
