We’re looking for a passionate Product Management Intern to join our team! This role offers the chance to work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders on initiatives that shape how Koko users and merchants experience our platform.
You’ll gain hands-on exposure to customer-centric product thinking, strategy, data-driven decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and agile workflows, while also exploring market research, go-to-market planning, and AI-powered tools. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and business teams to shape product features and solutions.
- Conduct user interviews, analyze feedback, and study market trends relevant to Koko’s products.
- Assist in writing clear product requirements and user stories.
- Analyze product metrics such as transaction volumes and user activation rates to drive continuous improvement.
- Support product launches by preparing documentation and coordinating with internal teams.
- Participate in product review sessions and present your findings and ideas.
- Use data and modern digital tools including AI-powered productivity or analytics.
- solutions where relevant to support product management tasks.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation and user-first thinking.
Requirements:
- Currently in your penultimate year, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- Available full-time for 3 to 6 months.
- Proficient in spoken and written English, with strong analytical and Excel skills (formulas and pivot tables).
- Familiarity with product management concepts and a customer-centric mindset.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a passion for building innovative digital products.
- Exposure to agile tools, wireframing, or user research through coursework or projects.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills (e.g., through university clubs, projects, or extracurriculars).
- Interest in UX/UI, digital payments, fintech, or Sri Lanka’s startup ecosystem.
- Curiosity about technology, including the use of AI-powered tools for research, analytics, or productivity.
