QA Engineer – Airline Industry Focus

📍 Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka (Hybrid)

🧩 Role Overview

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the highest standards of software quality within the airline industry.

You will work on manual and automated testing, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to building robust, reliable, and efficient airline systems.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test strategies and QA procedures tailored to airline software systems.
• Execute manual and automated tests across functional, regression, performance, and security areas.
• Collaborate with product, development, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve quality.
• Contribute to test automation initiatives using tools like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Stay updated with industry trends to optimize QA practices and tools.
• Configure and manage test environments to ensure reliable and consistent results.
• Ensure a real-world user experience by simulating usage scenarios.

✅ Required Qualifications

🎓 Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in manual and automated testing.
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
• Experience in the airline domain is a plus (reservation, ticketing, or operations systems).

🛠️ Technical Skills

• Test automation tools: Playwright (preferred), Selenium, Cypress, Katalon.
• Performance testing tools (a plus): JMeter, LoadRunner.
• API testing tools: Postman, RestAssured.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps.
• Scripting: Groovy, Python, Java.
• Cloud-based testing: BrowserStack, Sauce Labs.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies.

⭐ Nice to Have

• ISTQB or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of security testing best practices.
• Experience in aviation, airline, or travel tech.
