Role Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Frontend Developer with a strong sense of UI/UX design. The ideal candidate will have an eye for neat, user-friendly design and the technical ability to build beautiful, functional websites. While prior experience with Figma is a plus, what matters most is your ability to create pixel-perfect designs and deliver seamless user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain Ghost CMS themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and fast loading times.
- Collaborate with designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly layouts.
- Work on front-end design improvements, bug fixes, and theme adjustments.
- Follow project guidelines and ensure a high standard of code quality.
- Implement SEO best practices in all theme projects.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong eye for design - you can spot what looks good and why it works.
- Experience with UI/UX principles - you understand what makes a site user-friendly and intuitive.
- A passion for delivering pixel-perfect development.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote team.
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (with a focus on frontend development).
- Proficiency in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design.
- Experience with Git for version control.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a timely manner.
- A detail-oriented mindset - quality is non-negotiable.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Familiarity with Ghost CMS or willingness to quickly learn.
- Experience with Handlebars templating engine or Ghost CMS.
- Familiarity with SEO optimization and web performance best practices.
- Understanding of version control (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards in web design.
- Ability to integrate third-party APIs and services into Ghost themes.
