Trainee DevOps Engineer

Job Description

• Work alongside experienced DevOps and Software Engineers to assist in building and maintaining scalable and secure PaaS/SaaS architectures
• Participate in team discussions to understand and contribute to operational readiness and incident response practices
• Gain hands-on experience in identifying and documenting routine operational tasks, with a focus on automation and efficiency
• Learn how to use and build monitoring dashboards, alerts, and CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications
• Shadow senior engineers in root cause analysis (RCA) activities and post-incident reviews
• Get introduced to scripting and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools to support deployment and environment automation
• Collaborate in a fast-paced Agile environment with exposure to cutting-edge technologies including AI-integrated DevOps workflows
• Be part of a culture that encourages experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement
  
  

Skills Required

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and desire to pursue certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner/Associate level is a plus)
• Familiarity with Linux command line and basic system administration concepts
• Exposure to scripting (e.g., Shell, Python) and an interest in learning automation tools
• Understanding of software development fundamentals and version control (Git)
• Passion for learning new technologies including DevOps, Cloud, and AI-powered infrastructure
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Willingness to take ownership of learning goals and actively seek mentorship
• Positive attitude, high energy, and strong problem-solving enthusiasm
  
  

Education & Experience Required

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Academic or personal projects demonstrating an interest in DevOps/Cloud/SRE/Automation is a plus
• Availability for a full-time internship for a period of 6 months (with potential for a long-term opportunity)
