Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer (Automation) to lead and optimize our automated testing initiatives. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and project managers to ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation test suites using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber.
- Lead and execute comprehensive API automation testing strategies using Postman and SoapUI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality releases.
- Analyze specifications and technical designs to create well-structured, scalable test cases and automation scripts.
- Detect, log, and analyze software defects and coordinate with development teams for timely resolution.
- Prepare detailed reports on test coverage, defects, and execution metrics.
- Continuously explore and integrate modern automation tools, frameworks, and testing trends.
Requirements and Skills
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing for web applications.
- Expertise in:
- UI automation (Primary & Mandatory) using Selenium, Playwright
- Java-based scripting with TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber
- API testing (Preferred) with Postman, SoapUI
- Performance testing using JMeter
- Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating test automation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of REST API testing and scripting with RestAssured.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Exposure to security testing tools like OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite.
- Prior involvement in mobile application testing is a plus.
