Senior UI/UX Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement responsive user interfaces that provide excellent user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Translate design concepts into working UI components using modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Ensure that designs are accessible and compliant with WCAG 2.1 and other relevant standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business analysts to turn functional requirements into intuitive and engaging UI designs.
• Work on cross-browser compatibility and ensure that the UI is responsive across different screen sizes and devices.
• Learn and apply Pega UI tools such as App Studio, Dev Studio, Skin Rules, and Constellation to build user interfaces for Pega applications.
• Support the modernization of legacy UIs by adopting new Pega UI technologies like Constellation.
• Perform usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
• Provide design leadership and mentorship to junior UI/UX team members.
• UI development in Pega/OutSystems/Salesforce
• Document UI/UX design standards and guide to ensure consistency across teams and products.
• Create and maintain UI/UX documentation, including user flows, personas, and journey maps.
• Participate in design reviews, ensuring UI meets both design intent and technical feasibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in enterprise applications or similar complex systems.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript , and responsive design.
• Strong experience with UI/UX design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch for creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability standards, and accessibility guidelines.
• Experience working with design systems, component libraries, or style guides to maintain consistency in large-scale applications.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment and work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to advocate for the user while balancing technical constraints.
• Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React.js or Angular, including component-based development, state management (e.g., Redux, Context API, RxJS), and integration with REST APIs.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with Pega UI tools (such as App Studio, Dev Studio, and Constellation).
• Experience with Pega DX API (v1/v2) and integrating external front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with client-side rendering (CSR) and server-side rendering (SSR).
• Previous exposure to React.js or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with design tokens and theming engines in low-code/no-code platforms.

Preferred Certifications

• UX certifications – Bonus
• Familiarity with accessibility certifications (WCAG, ADA, etc.) – Bonus
