We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to analyse the design of our existing databases and develop recommendations for improvements, optimizations, and migrations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, and migration strategies
Database Engineer (Full-Time, Remote – 2 Months)
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse the current database design and provide recommendations for optimization.
Design and implement database migration strategies with minimal downtime.
Ensure data integrity, security, and best practices in database management.
Work closely with developers and DevOps teams to optimize database performance.
Develop and maintain documentation related to database structures and processes.
Troubleshoot database issues and implement efficient solutions.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).
Experience in database design, normalization, indexing, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with database migration tools and techniques.
Familiarity with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
