Job Summary:

We are looking for an Intern Technical Business Analyst to bridge business requirements with technical solutions for medical patient management and clinical management systems. In this role, you will analyze business and system needs, streamline healthcare workflows, and ensure solutions align with clinical, operational, and compliance standards. Proficiency in SQL is highly advantageous.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements (user stories, use cases) and system specifications (functional/non-functional).
  • Translate clinical and administrative needs into technical requirements for development teams.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate on system architecture, data models, and API design to ensure efficient system integration.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Write SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from clinical databases.
  • Support data manipulation, reporting, and dashboard development.
  • Create user manuals and conduct training for end users on new features.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare IT, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Business Analyst in healthcare IT, with experience in patient or clinical management systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of SDLC (Agile/Waterfall).
  • Basic SQL querying (joins, subqueries, data extraction).
  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare workflows and EHR/EMR systems.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
