Job Summary:
The General Manager Finance will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our multinational FMCG manufacturing, distribution, and exports conglomerate. This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing all management accounting functions across our various factories, ensuring financial stability, accuracy, and compliance. The role reports directly to the Group CFO and involves strategic financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with the Group CFO to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the factories.
- Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities to provide proactive recommendations.
Management Accounting:
- Oversee all aspects of management accounting, including cost control, budget management, variance analysis, and financial performance measurement.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Cost Analysis and Control:
- Analyze production costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost control measures.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize working capital.
Financial Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with international and local financial regulations, including tax, accounting, and reporting standards.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the finance department.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and procurement, to align financial goals with business operations.
- Present financial updates and insights to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the company's financial stability.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including ROI assessments, capital budgeting, and performance evaluations.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Fully qualified in CIMA, ACCA. Having a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related with MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in progressively responsible finance roles, including 5 plus years in a managerial capacity, ideally in the FMCG manufacturing and distribution industry.
- Proven track record of being a key contributor to SAP ERP implementation projects is essential.
