We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading software projects from inception to completion. The Software Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical experts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of software projects, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA engineers, and product managers.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address potential roadblocks to ensure project timelines are met.
- Monitor project progress and performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and resolve issues.
- Ensure the software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes are followed and that quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet requirements and expectations.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment. Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management and software development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Project Manager, successfully delivering software projects on time and within scope.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
- Solid understanding of software development practices, tools, and technologies.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification is a plus.
