The Role

The Marketing Intern role will involve equal parts learning and doing!

To ensure strong fundamentals, we’ll take you through a series of books that we swear by,

And learning about marketing psychology, how to segment markets, talking to customers, and more will be a continuous effort across the year-long internship.

The internship involves learning about and carrying out activities related to Marketing, Lead Generation, Prospecting, Content Creation, and Social Media Engagement and is a fresh role in the local space that will be rewarding on many different levels.


Your role as a Marketing Intern will be to learn, conduct research, find potential customers within target segments, reach out to people, create content that communicates what they value, and nurture relationships.

If you’re hungry to learn, energetic, perceptive, a people person, have a knack for knowing when to proceed or retreat, and can handle both success and rejection, you’ll do great in and love this role!

Responsibilities in Brief

  • Learning the fundamentals of marketing on the job
  • Research into target segments and personas to understand them better as a whole
  • Generating leads via appropriate marketing channels
  • Research into prospects to understand them better
  • Reaching out to prospects via email, LinkedIn direct messaging, cold-calling, and other channels
  • Supporting lead generation by commenting on relevant social media posts and creating engagement
  • Tailoring of messaging, emails, and comments while considering context, personas, etc.
  • Building rapport and nurturing relationships with prospects
  • Setting of online appointments to pass onto wider sales and marketing team
  • Collaborating with wider sales and marketing team to fine-tune processes and funnel
  • Creating social media, blog content, etc., appropriate for the target audience
  • Scheduling and posting routine Beta Launch social media content on LinkedIn and Instagram

Requirements

  • A sincere love for marketing and learning
  • An understanding of software/IT services will entail an advantage
  • Marketing, Sales or Business Management focused academic or professional qualifications will entail an advantage
  • Great people skills including communication, discernment, listening, and persuasion skills
  • Extremely strong command of English in both written and spoken form
  • Sound knowledge of LinkedIn, email, and other marketing channels
  • Good proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
