Position Overview:
As a Remote Android App Developer Intern based in Sri Lanka, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced development team to design, develop, and test for an Android application. This paid internship is an excellent chance to gain hands-on experience in the field of mobile app development while working on real projects that impact our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to design and implement Android applications.
- Write clean and maintainable code following best practices.
- Assist in debugging and troubleshooting app issues.
- Solicit code reviews and engage in receiving valuable constructive feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies.
- Contribute to the improvement of app performance and user experience.
- Work closely with designers to implement UI/UX designs.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge in programming languages.
- Familiarity with Android Studio and the Android SDK.
- Android JetPack compose hand-on experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A passion for mobile app development and a willingness to learn.
- Exhibit unwavering dedication and a strong work ethic in tackling complex development tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Android app development, either through coursework or personal projects.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services integration.
- Understanding of Material Design guidelines.
